A family business with Rotterdam roots
Joris Ruis founded Jorden Logistics in 1999. As a member of an entrepreneurial family with deep roots in the Port of Rotterdam, logistics was literally in his genes: his great-grandfather ran a storage and transshipment company specialising in building materials, his father worked as a freight forwarder, and his brother serves as a ship's captain in maritime shipping.
After gaining extensive experience at various locations within the port area, Ruis established his own company — a natural step for a true entrepreneur who could share his vision with employees and clients alike. Today, Jorden Logistics has grown into a thriving logistics business where the customer always comes first.
